Course Description

The Study of English Literature is compulsory at Level Two. As such, your English option will be determined by your results for English in Year 11.
12EN1 students will:
- Study and analyse film, and either an extended text or short texts, as preparation for two literature essays in the exam
- Write in a range of styles, developing their essay writing skills and producing a portfolio of writing
- Learn to locate, select and integrate information from a range of sources for a research project
- Have the opportunity to achieve 18 credits in Level Two English
Prerequisites
Minimum of 15 credits in year 11 MCEA English.
Minimum of Achieved grade for the Writing Portfolio.
