12 Mathematics and Statistics 2

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs S. Vincent

The course is designed for those students who successfully completed Level 1 Mathematics  and covers a broader study of both Level 2 Mathematics and Statistics and is for students who want a general mathematical foundation to move into Level 3 and tertiary subjects. 

Some of the concepts covered include Trigonometry, Networks, Experimental Design and Statistical Inference. 

This course leads to the university approved 13MS3 which is also a general Mathematics and Statistics course.

Prerequisites

From Level 1 Mathematics (11MT1,11MT2, 11MT3,11MT4):
*11MT1*: Achieved in at least three of the five standards OR HoD approval.
*11MT2*: Achieved in at least three of the five standards  OR HoD approval.
*11MT3*: Achieved in at least three of the five standards  OR HoD approval.
*11MT4*: Achieved in all three achievement standards  OR HoD approval.
