Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Haana Bovaird.

Students will:
  • Study adolescent health issues such as stress and relationships, well-being and taking action in the community/school, managing change and resilience.
  • Develop an understanding of the factors that influence health and social justice.
  • Students will develop their critical thinking skills and challenge assumptions.
  • Need to have sound written English skills.
  • Complete two internals and one external, totalling 15 credits. 


Prerequisites

At least 10 credits in MCEA Level 1 Health (11HE1), ‘Achieved’ or better in AS(92008) NCEA internal.

If you did not take 11HE1 please see Miss Bovaird in the Student Centre or Miss Abraham in the Health and PE Department.
