12SL3 Course DescriptionTeacher in Charge: Richie Folomu.
PrerequisitesMust gain 15 MCEA credits in year 11 PE (11PF1, 11PFR or 11OE1).
OR by HoD approval.
Students will:
- Study units from UNITEC that will challenge students to accept a sport leadership role within the school.
- Demonstrate personal and social development through participation in adventure based learning.
- Be put in leadership situations including a coaching experience with junior students at MAGS.
- Evaluate leadership strategies that contribute to the effective functioning of a group. (a junior PE class)
- Apply knowledge of Basic Anatomy to the performance of sport skills.
- Perform a physical activity in an applied situation.
