Course Description

Prerequisites

At least 14 credits including 4 credits at Merit in one of the two external standards in Level 2 Science.

OR HoD approval


Students will:
Develop an in depth scientific understanding of the world’s atmospheric and ocean systems. Students will be assessed on social issues relating to current earth and space issues as well as undertaking a student led practical experiment. 

The course is made up of two externals 

  • oceans systems
  • atmospheric systems

and 3 internals 

  • practical investigation
  • investigate a socio-scientific issue in an Earth/Space context 
  • aspect of astronomy
